Bitcoin Slumps Below $62K as Iran Rejects US Talks
Bitcoin's price has dropped to $62,229 after Iran rejected talks with the US. The move follows a failed attempt by US President Donald Trump to negotiate with Iran, which was preceded by a planned military strike that was canceled at the last minute.
The rejection of talks and subsequent decline in Bitcoin's price have led top crypto analysts to suggest that BTC is trapped between two major liquidity zones, with its next move likely to decide the market direction. This could lead to bigger price swings as more leveraged positions enter the market.
Bitcoin's correlation with traditional safe-haven assets has also increased, with a 61% correlation with gold over the past week. The Martini Guy notes that Bitcoin is now trading between two key liquidity areas: a large cluster of short liquidations around $64,000 and strong liquidity sitting near $62,000.
If Bitcoin falls below $62,000, selling pressure could increase, while reclaiming $63,500 first would be necessary for a stronger recovery. A break above $64,000 could open the door for a more significant price increase.
