Bitcoin Slumps Below $64K Amidst Asian Market Selloff
Bitcoin's price fell below $64,000 on July 28 as Asian markets suffered a broad selloff. The cryptocurrency traded near $63,490 after dropping from nearly $65,000 to around $63,200 before recovering slightly.
The decline was triggered by South Korea's KOSPI falling more than 8% and forcing the market into a circuit breaker. Japan's Nikkei also fell about 4%, adding pressure to Bitcoin's price. The move places BTC back inside its recent $60,000, $66,000 range.
Technical momentum has softened, but compressed volatility, whale accumulation, and the approaching Federal Reserve decision leave the next direction unsettled. On-chain data show that wallets holding 10 to 10,000 BTC added 19,696 coins over eight days, while micro-retail demand is cooling down.
