Bitcoin Slumps to 50-Year Low Amid AI Trade's Crushing Grip
Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of Gemini, believes that the current price of Bitcoin is a buying opportunity. He argues that the AI trade has suppressed crypto prices, and investors can now reach levels that looked out of reach twelve months ago.
Winklevoss points to the fact that Bitcoin trades near $64,231, roughly 49% below its October 2025 record price of $126,080. He also notes that the market value of Bitcoin sits near $1.29 trillion.
The pitch echoes his earlier calls for investors to treat the drop as an entry point rather than a warning sign. Winklevoss believes that AI equities have absorbed flows that once moved into risk assets such as BTC, making it an unprecedented time to buy the dip.
