Bitcoin Soars 23% as Cryptocurrency Market Adds $420 Billion
The cryptocurrency market is showing signs of recovery after losing $700 billion since the start of 2026. The market added $420 billion in the last week, with Bitcoin (BTC) leading the charge.
Last week, BTC surged from around $64,330 to $74,440, a gain of 23.23%. This means that an investor who put $1,000 into BTC just one week ago would now have a profit of $232.30 and a total value of $1,232.30.
This rally is reminiscent of the 2019 bear market and the FTX collapse, where BTC led the charge with gains of 30% and 25%, respectively. Analysts are predicting that this could be the start of a protracted uptrend in the cryptocurrency market.
