Bitcoin Soars 24% in a Month, Eyes Record High
Bitcoin has been on an upward trajectory, surging by 24% over the past month. This significant rally comes after the cryptocurrency crashed by more than 50% from its record high of $126,272 in October 2025.
According to experts, the US Treasury's debt buyback plan and the White House crypto summit hosted by President Donald Trump are driving this recent surge in Bitcoin's value. The events have added fresh optimism about a more supportive regulatory environment in America.
Rajagopal Menon, vice president of WazirX, attributes the rally to regulation, improved sentiment, liquidity supporting the move, and short covering accelerating it. He also points out that the US Securities and Exchange Commission's proposed 'Regulation Crypto Assets' framework has reinforced the industry's intent to regulate crypto and facilitate adoption.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen massive inflows in August, with a total net inflow of $307.45 million recorded in the third week of August. Growing institutional participation has strengthened Bitcoin’s market structure, but macroeconomic shocks and sharp corrections remain key risks, according to Balaji Srihari, VP, business, India, CoinSwitch.
Experts predict that Bitcoin can challenge its October 2025 record by the end of 2026, but this would require softer inflation, lower Treasury yields, and sustained institutional inflows. For investors, the current market calls for measured allocation, with traders watching support around $77,000, $78,000 and resistance near $80,000, $80,500.
