Bitcoin Soars 25% in August, Eyes on $100K as Analyst Sets Key Resistance Zone
Bitcoin's August performance has been nothing short of impressive, with the cryptocurrency ending the month with a strong gain. According to LMAX Group Market Strategist Joel Kruger, this rise occurred despite challenging macroeconomic conditions.
The $BTC price surge is significant, with Bitcoin rising approximately 25% in August. This marks its strongest August performance since 2017 and also represents the highest monthly gain since November 2021.
Kruger notes that while bond yields rose, the US dollar strengthened, and geopolitical risks resurfaced during this period, Bitcoin remained strong. He attributes this resilience to a sustained move above the $80,000 to $82,820 resistance zone, which could revive a rise towards $100,000.
Looking ahead, Kruger predicts that Bitcoin may enter a period of consolidation before potentially breaking through this critical level. Macroeconomic data from the US will be closely watched in terms of risk appetite in the crypto market, particularly employment data and messages regarding the Fed's interest rate policy.
