Bitcoin Soars Above $75k Amid Regulatory Hopes and Inflation Fears
Bitcoin has surged above $75k after nearly 23% weekly gains, its best performance in over three years. This surge is largely attributed to favorable U.S. regulatory developments and a resurgence in institutional inflows.
The Clarity Act, a bill aimed at establishing a regulatory framework for the U.S. crypto industry, has gained momentum due to President Donald Trump's urging of Congress to pass it. The act aims to categorize cryptocurrencies and address the treatment of yields on stablecoins, which have been a point of contention.
Rising bond yields, driven by inflation jitters and concerns over massive debt issuance, have also contributed to the crypto surge. Investors are turning to hard assets like Bitcoin as a safe-haven strategy in times of fiscal uncertainty. According to Raphael Zagury, CEO of Twenty One Capital, 'Bitcoin does not need to replace gold or bonds for its market value to become large; it only needs to capture part of the monetary premium embedded in them.'
