Bitcoin Soars Above $80,000 on Fed Interest Rate Hints
Bitcoin's price surged over 4.5% to exceed $80,000 after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller suggested that interest rates might remain steady in September if inflation data shows cooling. This eased concerns about a rate hike, weakening the dollar and boosting Bitcoin's appeal.
The rally has technical charts indicating that Bitcoin is approaching a key resistance zone around $81,400, with potential to rise toward $83,450 if support holds.
Corporate demand, including potential large purchases by Strive and Capital B, also supports the rally. However, Bitcoin is currently overbought, raising the risk of profit-taking if it fails to maintain support above $80,000.
