Bitcoin Soars Past $77,000 on Treasury-Fueled Rally

Bitcoin has surged past $77,000 after a rally sparked by the U.S. Treasury's bond buyback announcement on Wednesday.

The largest cryptocurrency climbed as high as $79,400 on Friday and added 8.8% since midnight UTC.

This marks its strongest weekly advance since March 2023, with almost 24% gains since Monday morning.

Altcoins are also benefiting from the rally, with ENA rising 13% and ZEC up 12.5%, both outperforming bitcoin.
