Bitcoin Soars Past $80,000, Sets Sights on $100,000 Target
Bitcoin broke through the $80,000 mark on August 25, reaching an intraday high of $81,272.62 and establishing a new near-three-month high.
The surge in Bitcoin's price can be attributed to several factors, including a weakening US dollar, ongoing capital inflows into Bitcoin ETFs, and an easing crypto regulatory environment.
Since mid-August, the value of Bitcoin has rebounded sharply from its low near $64,000, gaining over 28% and indicating improved short-term market sentiment.
The depreciation of the US dollar has led to increased investor interest in alternative assets such as gold and Bitcoin, while the resumption of capital inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs signals growing institutional demand for the cryptocurrency.
According to TradingView, Bitcoin's weekly chart shows a significant improvement in market bullish sentiment, with consecutive breaks through $65,000, $70,000, and $75,000 since mid-August. The primary overhead resistance level for Bitcoin is currently around $83,000-$86,500.
If Bitcoin can effectively break through this range and hold above $86,500, its year-to-date downtrend may be reversed, opening up upside room toward the $90,000 mark and potentially even testing the $100,000 target.
