Bitcoin Soars Past $96K as Analysts Predict $100K Milestone
Bitcoin's price has been on a tear since Donald Trump re-entered the political landscape, and analysts are now forecasting that it could soon surpass $100,000. In the past 24 hours, Bitcoin rose nearly 5% to reach $96,100, following a brief correction to $91,000.
This surge in price is being driven by the cryptocurrency's bullish phase during halving cycles and Trump's pro-crypto policies. Key crypto stocks are also mirroring Bitcoin's strength, with Coinbase and Robinhood gaining over 5% and 4%, respectively, while MicroStrategy surged by 10%.
Despite this upward trend, Bitcoin is diverging from broader markets, with the Nasdaq Composite, Dow Jones, and S&P 500 all experiencing declines. This divergence has caught the market's attention, with many analysts weighing in on the prospects for Bitcoin.
According to Alex Thorn from Galaxy Digital, the current bull market is robust, although he acknowledges potential risks, including regulatory changes. Thorn suggests that rising institutional and governmental adoption will sustain Bitcoin's growth in the foreseeable future.
