Bitcoin Soft Fork Proposal Fails Amid Strong Opposition
The proposed Bitcoin BIP-110 soft fork has failed to gain enough support from the community, despite being put forward by some prominent Bitcoin supporters. The proposal aimed to temporarily block non-payment data on the Bitcoin blockchain but never received the necessary signalling for activation.
Notably, well-known Bitcoin advocates such as Michael Saylor and Adam Back expressed strong opposition to the proposal, along with JAN3 CEO Samson Mow. Their dissenting views were enough to derail the initiative.
