Bitcoin Spot ETFs Bleed $265M as July Inflows Plummet to $172M

The US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a sharp decline in July, losing $265.4 million on July 31 after seeing net inflows of $172.4 million for the month. The category's net assets stand at $76.3 billion, with cumulative net inflows of $51.3 billion since its launch in January 2024.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBIT, led the redemptions with a loss of $122.7 million on July 31. Fidelity's FBTC shed $54.8 million, and Grayscale's GBTC lost another $52.6 million. Bitwise's BITB gave up $17.8 million, and ARK 21Shares' ARKB recorded an outflow of $17.5 million.

The July performance marks the smallest monthly intake since the launch in January 2024. The category saw a significant redemptions on Friday, erasing all gains made during the week. This follows a two-month streak of net outflows in May and June, with May seeing a $2.43 billion exit from the funds.
