Bitcoin Spot ETFs Reverse Course with $61M in Net Outflows
Bitcoin spot ETFs have experienced their first net outflows in three weeks, marking an end to a brief streak of inflows. According to data from SoSoValue, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $61.53 million in net outflows on the most recent trading day.
This marks a reversal from the previous three-week period, which saw inflows of approximately $273 million over two weeks and an additional $727 million in five days. The brief streak of inflows followed months of significant outflows, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs experiencing cumulative redemptions of more than $8 billion between May and June 2026.
BlackRock's IBIT remains the dominant force in this product category, having accumulated roughly $62 billion in cumulative inflows since its launch in January 2024. Grayscale's GBTC, however, has been a primary source of redemption pressure throughout the ETF era.
The recent outflows are not considered catastrophic by industry observers, with some attributing them to arbitrage unwinds and mechanical selling pressure unrelated to fundamental views on Bitcoin.
