Bitcoin Spot ETFs See Best Weekly Performance Since October 2025
Bitcoin's largest spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) has seen its best weekly performance since October 2025, according to recent data. The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF and similar funds have attracted a significant amount of assets, which could be a positive signal for the cryptocurrency.
As of August 26, Bitcoin was trading at around $78,500. It would need to rise by approximately 60.5% to reclaim its all-time high.
The influx of capital into these ETFs is considered a bullish sign, as it indicates that institutional investors are rekindling their enthusiasm for Bitcoin. The issuer of the iShares Bitcoin ETF, BlackRock, has processed $5 billion in Bitcoin 'transfers,' which allows market participants to remain long-term holders without worrying about cold-wallet storage or potential vulnerabilities in digital wallets.
These conversions have gained sufficient momentum to enable authorized participants to significantly lower the dollar-denominated threshold required to execute Bitcoin-to-ETF trades. This change could drive capital inflows and contribute to Bitcoin's recovery.
