Bitcoin Spot Volume Plummets Amid Weakened Retail Demand

Bitcoin spot trading volume has dropped by over 75% across major exchanges in recent months, according to data from Darkfost.

The decline is significant, with Binance seeing a drop of more than $210 billion in Bitcoin spot volume compared to its peak in November 2024.

While large holders continue to add to their positions, retail demand has weakened, with smaller investors not buying recent price dips as much as before.

Market analyst Darkfost attributed the slowdown to several factors, including growing conflict between the US and Iran, inflation concerns, and a preference for technology stocks.
