Bitcoin Sprints Past $100K Threshold, Resists Macro Headwinds

Bitcoin's August performance was marked by a significant surge in value, reaching its strongest monthly gain since November 2021. According to LMAX Group Market Strategist Joel Kruger, this rise occurred despite challenging macroeconomic conditions.

Bond yields rose, the US dollar strengthened, and geopolitical risks resurfaced during the same period, but Bitcoin remained strong. At $77,335 at the end of August, BTC had surged approximately 25% in the month, surpassing its strongest August performance since 2017.

The $80,000 to $82,820 range is identified as a significant resistance zone by Kruger, with a sustained move above this range potentially reviving a rise towards $100,000. Macroeconomic data from the US, particularly employment data and messages regarding the Fed's interest rate policy, will be closely watched in determining Bitcoin's direction.
