Bitcoin Stalls at $65,000 Threshold Amid Uncertainty Over Breakout
Bitcoin's price is hovering around $65,000, which is near both $70,000 and $60,000. This creates a crucial turning point for the cryptocurrency as it tries to regain momentum after consistently failing to break through the $66,000-$67,000 range since June.
The recent rise above short-term moving averages has given buyers an immediate advantage, but caution is still warranted due to the overall negative trend. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) confirms this progress with a reading of 56.6, which is above the neutral 50 level but far from overbought.
However, there's not much resistance between $66,300 and the long-term moving average at $71,450, making a breakout possible if Bitcoin breaks through that barrier. This could lead to a rapid approach towards the psychological $70,000 mark.
In the bearish scenario, Bitcoin must lose its recently regained short-term support, which would return the market to its recent range and potentially test $60,000 if selling volume increases.
