Bitcoin Stalls at $80,000 Amid Investor Sales and Profitability
Bitcoin has stalled at around $80,000 due to investor sales, according to analysts at XWIN Japan. The market's return to profitability is putting pressure on investors, as nearly all groups are back in profit.
The unrealized profit indicator, provided by CryptoQuant, shows long-term holders have a 21.1% profit margin, while short-term holders have a 13.4% margin. This indicates a healthier market but also means more holders can realize profits.
XWIN Japan highlighted the SOPR ratio for short-term and long-term holders, which rose to approximately 1.4 at $80,000 before falling to 0.93. The analysts forecast that a sustained breakout above $80,000 could lead to $88,000-$90,000, but losing support at $75,000 could worsen profitability for short-term holders.
GugaOnChain, an analyst using the pseudonym, assessed the market through the Delta-Thermo Market Multiple (DTMM). The indicator's value was 2.03 at around $78,000, indicating a transitional macro zone. However, a lack of directional leverage in the short term and a negative Coinbase Premium Index suggest limited buying pressure.
