Bitcoin Stalls at Key Resistance Level as Ethereum Surges
Bitcoin hovered around $64,966 on Saturday, but its price was capped by a key resistance level, preventing further gains. At the same time, Ethereum gained momentum and rose to $1,915.
According to data from CoinMarketCap, the global crypto market capitalization increased by 0.87% to $2.21 trillion. Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin gained 1.05%, while Ethereum rose 0.55%. Among major altcoins, some like BNB and Solana saw significant gains of up to 2.46%, but others like Hyperliquid and Cardano declined.
Nischal Shetty, Founder of WazirX, noted that the crypto markets ended the week higher, with Bitcoin gaining 1.8% from $63,085 to $64,214, and Ethereum advancing 1.9%. However, mixed risk sentiment limited further momentum for ETH.
Shetty also pointed out that around 155,000 BTC accumulated between $62,000 and $65,000, indicating continued buying within Bitcoin's weekly range. Moreover, crypto ETFs generated approximately $745 million in net inflows across four consecutive positive sessions.
