Bitcoin Stays Above $64,000 Ahead of Federal Reserve Decision
Bitcoin is holding steady near $64,300 as traders await the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision. The Fed will announce its decision on July 28-29, with markets largely expecting officials to hold the federal funds target range at 3.50% to 3.75%. However, there is a roughly one-in-three chance of a quarter-point increase.
Inflation remains above the Fed's 2% goal, and easing oil prices have reduced some immediate pressure. Despite this, Bitcoin has gained about 1.5% over the past 24 hours and stayed above $64,000.
The broader crypto market also gained, with the total crypto market value rising by 1.2%. Ether advanced toward $1,913, while XRP and Cardano posted smaller gains. Jupiter led major decentralized finance tokens with a gain of nearly 6%.
