Bitcoin Stress Gauge Hits 71.58 as Loss-Making Supply Grows
Bitcoin's profit-and-loss stress index has risen to 71.58, pushing market stress back above the key threshold of 70.
This indicator measures the share of Bitcoin holdings in profit versus those at a loss at the current price, with a reading above 70 indicating a large portion of supply is underwater and market pressure is high.
The index has been on the rise since late July, when it moved back above 70 after gradually easing over the past month.
Analyst Axel Adler Jr. warns that conditions could deteriorate quickly if Bitcoin falls below $61,500 and the stress index rises above 90.
