Bitcoin Struggles to Break Through Consolidation Range
Bitcoin's price has been stuck in a consolidation range, trading near $80,000 after another rejection at $82,300. This leaves buyers struggling to extend the latest recovery.
The broader technical structure remains stronger than before Bitcoin's August breakout, with BTC still holding above the former $72,000 to $74,500 resistance zone.
However, repeated selling between $80,500 and $82,500 has limited further upside. The next major level is $85,000, a sustained breakout above which could strengthen the bullish setup and open the way toward $89,000.
A break above $85,000 would clear the upper end of the current consolidation range and could signal that buyers have absorbed the selling pressure around $80,000 to $82,500.
