Bitcoin Stuck at $77K Ahead of Fed Decision: Can BTC Break the $81.7K Barrier?
Bitcoin is hovering around $77,200 as it approaches a critical week ahead of the Federal Reserve's decision on September 16. The cryptocurrency has been consolidating between $76,000 and $80,000 for several days, with traders weighing improving ETF demand against rising Treasury yields.
The key level to watch is approximately $81,700, according to Julio Moreno, Head of Research at CryptoQuant. Clearing this level would confirm a new bullish phase and put $83,600 in play first. A sustained close above that could create room toward $88,700, implying roughly 15% upside from current prices.
CryptoQuant sees $70,000 as an important support area, followed by a deeper accumulation zone around $62,000-$65,000 where long-term holders reportedly acquired approximately 476,000 BTC this year.
