Bitcoin Stuck Below $80K as AlphaPepe Presale Buyers Target Wider Upside Window
Bitcoin has been unable to break through its resistance level of $80,000 after briefly reaching above $81,000 in August. The cryptocurrency's recent decline is attributed to a weaker dollar, Treasury bond buybacks, renewed regulatory optimism, and short liquidations that had driven the earlier momentum in crypto.
The Federal Reserve's comments on persistent inflation have raised expectations that interest rates could remain restrictive, placing new pressure on risk assets. Spot Bitcoin ETF demand has cooled after helping drive the earlier breakout, removing part of the support behind BTC's move above $80,000.
AlphaPepe, a frog-themed meme token, is offering a wider pre-listing percentage window for buyers in its presale stage at $0.02845. The project aims to raise approximately $2.55 million and attract more than 11,400 holders before entering public price discovery.
