Bitcoin Stuck Between Key Resistance and Fading Support
Bitcoin's price action has been closely monitored after it failed to break through an important resistance level in the range of $81,000-$83,000. According to crypto analyst Crypto Patel, the cryptocurrency is facing a key support battle at around $78,000, which has become a major point of contention.
The rejection at this resistance level means that bulls have not yet managed to sustainably stand above the $83,000 mark. This creates a significant supply zone in the $81,000-$83,000 range, with $83,000 being a major level that could invalidate the bearish scenario if breached.
Crypto Patel believes that if support at $78,000 is effective, it may give buyers another chance to take on resistance, but a break below could lead to further selling of the cryptocurrency. He also predicts a downside target of $50,000-$55,000 in case of a breakdown in support.
Despite the rejection at resistance, technical indicators still show buying strength for Bitcoin. The MACD indicator is positive, with the value of the MACD line being 3,910 and the signal line having the value of 3,404. However, the decrease in the size of MACD histogram candles signals slowing momentum.
