Bitcoin Stuck in Consolidation as Capital Inflows Remain Weak
Bitcoin's recovery from its recent dip to $64,000 has been short-lived, analysts say. The largest cryptocurrency by market cap briefly climbed to about $66,700 before falling back down and recovering to roughly $65,100.
Despite this, broader capital inflows into Bitcoin remain stagnant, according to Glassnode, a blockchain analytics firm. They noted that 'broader capital inflows are stagnant,' leaving the market stuck in consolidation.
The firm measures fresh capital by tracking changes in Bitcoin's realized value, which records each BTC at the price at which it last changed hands. This measure had already fallen 57% to almost zero in early June and has yet to recover.
Buyers remain sidelined, with monthly inflows often climbing from about $2 billion to more than $10 billion during the 2023-2025 bull market. However, May's rebound reached only $2.8 billion before fading again.
