Bitcoin Stuck in Consolidation Mode as Resistance at $81,000 Proves Elusive

Bitcoin's (BTC) price has been struggling to break above $81,000, leading to short-term pressure on the market. Despite a brief rise above $80,400, Bitcoin is currently trading at around $79,100, down about 1.5% on the daily candle.

The larger framework for Bitcoin remains favorable, with both the 200-day and 20-day moving averages offering strong support below the current consolidation level. However, the resistance range of $81,000 to $82,000 is becoming increasingly significant, with multiple attempts by buyers to rise above $80,000 resulting in failed momentum.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped from overbought levels to around 63, indicating a slowdown in initial breakout momentum. A close above $82,000 could restore momentum and potentially pave the way for $85,000.
