Bitcoin Stuck in Narrow Range as Market Awaits CPI Data
Bitcoin has been stuck in a narrow trading range of $62,000 to $66,000 for over a month, with no clear direction. According to Paul Howard, senior director at Wincent, this is due to ETF demand being offset by mining operations and corporate treasury sales.
The recent trajectory of Bitcoin pricing has been influenced by persistent ETF accumulation being counterbalanced by over-the-counter liquidations from mining entities and Strategy.
Strategy, the company led by Michael Saylor, has liquidated 6,916 BTC since June, valued at more than $440 million. This is a departure from Saylor's previously unwavering stance against selling Bitcoin holdings.
The market is looking to Wednesday's Consumer Price Index release for direction, with some analysts predicting a positive response similar to previous CPI announcements.
