Bitcoin Suisse Axes Up to 60 Jobs Amid International Expansion
Bitcoin Suisse, one of Switzerland's longest-running crypto financial services firms, is undergoing significant restructuring. The company will cut up to 60 jobs in its home market as it shifts from a primarily Swiss company into an international financial services group.
The reduction affects up to half of the firm's 120 Swiss employees and targets support and development functions rather than customer-facing roles. This change stems from the consolidation of software development and back-office functions within international hubs, according to a company spokesperson.
Bitcoin Suisse has been building toward this shift throughout the year, securing a MiCAR license and launching European expansion efforts. The firm received a financial services permission in Abu Dhabi as part of its Middle East push, signaling a broader international presence.
