Bitcoin Suisse Cuts 60 Positions Amid International Expansion Plans
Bitcoin Suisse is cutting up to 60 positions at its Zug headquarters in Switzerland. The company, which specializes in trading and custody of cryptocurrencies, will move back-office tasks to Bratislava and Vietnam to cut costs.
The cuts mainly affect back-office functions, with staff learning of the plans at an internal meeting in September 2026.
Co-founder Andrej Majcen has tied the job cuts to international growth, stating that Bitcoin Suisse is investing in expansion and aims to become a global brand. Zug remains the headquarters, but international growth takes priority.
