Bitcoin Suisse Cuts 60 Swiss Jobs Amid Global Expansion Plans
Bitcoin Suisse is undergoing significant restructuring as it shifts operations abroad. The Zug-based company plans to cut around 60 jobs in Switzerland, which would reduce its local workforce by half.
The proposed layoffs are part of a broader effort to move software development and back-office work outside Switzerland. Bitcoin Suisse will close its development office in Copenhagen while expanding operations in Bratislava and establishing a new hub in Vietnam, although the location has not been disclosed.
The company's headquarters in Zug will remain its main center for wealth management. Employees are being consulted on the cuts through September 20, with some roles expected to be relocated or restructured as part of the changes.
