Bitcoin Suisse, a crypto-financial services provider, plans to cut up to 60 jobs in Switzerland as part of a broader restructuring effort. This represents approximately half of its local workforce, which stands at around 120 employees. The company aims to reduce costs and support global expansion by shifting software engineering and back-office roles to international hubs.

The proposed staff reductions follow an initial disclosure by Swiss media outlet Finews regarding the company's strategic shift. Bitcoin Suisse confirmed that a mandatory employee consultation period will remain open until September 20 before final decisions take effect.

As part of the structural overhaul, the firm is closing its information technology development facility in Copenhagen and establishing a new technical hub in Vietnam. This move is expected to optimize resource allocation for future product offerings and institutional wealth management services without disrupting core client-facing operations.
