Bitcoin Suisse Cuts Swiss Jobs Amid Global Expansion Push
Bitcoin Suisse is undergoing significant restructuring to support its global expansion plans. The company, which has over $3 billion in digital assets under custody, will be cutting up to half of its approximately 120 Swiss workforce.
The roles being eliminated are primarily in back-office and administrative functions, with the goal of moving these operations to Bratislava and Vietnam. Bitcoin Suisse already operates a hub in Bratislava and plans to establish a new location in Vietnam within the next few years.
According to CEO Andrej Majcen, the decision was driven by cost savings and is part of the company's wider international growth strategy. 'In Bratislava and Vietnam, we can provide these services at significantly lower cost,' he stated.
