Bitcoin Suisse Cuts Up to Half of Swiss Staff Amid Business Reorganization
Crypto firm Bitcoin Suisse is cutting up to half of its staff in Switzerland as it seeks to reorganize its business. The company, which has around 200 employees globally, will reduce its workforce by up to 60 staff members in the country.
The job cuts are due to take effect after a consultation period lasting until September 20. Bitcoin Suisse said that software development and back-office capabilities will be consolidated in international hubs, allowing it to scale faster and access broader talent pools.
The Zug-based firm is also closing its IT development site in Copenhagen. It has an international hub in Bratislava and aims to establish another in Vietnam. Bitcoin Suisse has offices in Liechtenstein, Abu Dhabi, and Bermuda.
