Bitcoin Suisse Shifts Up to Half of Swiss Jobs Abroad Amid International Expansion
Bitcoin Suisse is shifting up to half of its Swiss jobs abroad as it expands internationally. The company, which provides crypto trading, custody, staking, and lending services, will relocate affected functions to lower-cost hubs in Bratislava and Vietnam. This move is expected to affect 60 out of the company's 120 Swiss positions, primarily in back-office and administrative roles.
The decision was driven by cost considerations, with CEO Andrej Majcen stating that operating these services in Bratislava and Vietnam would be significantly less expensive. Bitcoin Suisse aims to expand its international operations and build a broader wealth and asset management business.
This strategic move is part of the company's evolution toward a global wealth management platform, targeting institutional clients, family offices, asset managers, and high-net-worth individuals. The company has secured licenses in Liechtenstein and Bermuda this year and received full regulatory approval for its Middle East subsidiary in Abu Dhabi.
