Bitcoin Surge Spurs Long-Term 'Buy' Signal as Indices Show Resilience

The recent surge in Bitcoin has triggered a long-term 'buy' signal that is likely to continue, at least for now. The cryptocurrency's ability to hold above its 200-week moving average (MA) is a positive sign for investors who are looking to buy and hold. According to technical analysis, the upside remains, making it unlikely for Bitcoin to dip back down to $65K anytime soon.

The Russell 2000 ($IWM), on the other hand, is playing out as a 'bull trap' with its converged 20-day and 50-day MAs acting as support. While some technical indicators are flashing warning signs, including the MACD and +DI/-DI, it's still too early to call for a reversal.

The S&P ($SPX) is also holding up well, having broken out of its trading range and finding support above its 50-day MA. This makes it an attractive opportunity for long-term investors looking to ride the trend upwards.
