Bitcoin Surge Triggers Warning: $61K and $57K Levels Attract Liquidation Attention
The recent surge in Bitcoin and altcoin prices has drawn attention to potential liquidation zones, warns market analyst Joao Wedson. According to Wedson, who is CEO of Alphractal, a significant portion of leveraged positions could come under pressure if the price falls to $61,000.
The lower level at $57,000 stands out as a stronger liquidation zone, with many positions at risk of liquidation opened when Bitcoin was trading between approximately $63,000 and $66,000. Wedson also noted that investors' stop-loss orders around these levels could further increase selling pressure if the price declines sharply.
On the other hand, there are potential liquidation zones on the upside, with a significant amount of liquidation in the $85,000 to $86,000 range, but most of these stem from positions older than a month. Wedson's warning comes as Bitcoin continues its upward trend, and investors should be aware of these potential triggers for major moves.
