Bitcoin Surges Above $75K as Crypto Rally Gains Momentum
Bitcoin broke above $75,000 for the first time since late May, as a rally in crypto markets gains momentum. The price surge is driven by falling Treasury yields, increased trading activity, and renewed optimism around US digital-asset regulation.
BTC reached an intraday high near $75,727 on Friday, up roughly 8.65% over the past 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) advanced about 5.40% to around $2,370, while XRP led tokens with an 18.66% gain to $1.30.
The rally has spread beyond Bitcoin, with weekly gains showing broader market strength. On a weekly basis, BTC is up about 19.05%, ETH has gained 25.74%, and XRP has risen 29.84%. Bitcoin's market capitalization stood near $1.51 trillion, while its share of the crypto market remained just above 53%.
The increased trading volume also indicates stronger participation in the rally, with BTC generating close to $59 billion in 24-hour volume and Ether recording approximately $33 billion. This development has been accompanied by growing expectations for regulatory clarity, following a White House meeting where President Donald Trump urged Congress to pass the CLARITY Act.
