Bitcoin Surges Above $80K, Altcoins Gain Momentum as AI Agents Enter Crypto Trade
Bitcoin has broken above $80,000, and this move has changed the crypto market setup for September. The latest data puts Bitcoin near $80,700, with August gains reaching about 28%. U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have recorded $1.92 billion in net inflows across one week.
A firm hold above $80,000 could support a move toward $90,000 to $100,000 for Bitcoin. A fall toward $75,000 would signal a clear loss of short-term strength. The wider market also has a strong macro factor to watch: the U.S. Treasury's plan to buy larger long-duration bonds.
Ethereum and other major altcoins have gained fresh capital, with Ethereum reaching over 20% in weekly gains. Solana ETFs have crossed $1.1 billion in cumulative inflows, while XRP has shown even stronger price momentum. Strong price growth and fund demand can support further gains.
The use of AI trading agents is also increasing, with Binance's Agent OS allowing users to access market data and execute trades through user permissions. Other major crypto exchanges have added tools for AI agents, which can review market data, follow set rules, manage positions, and place orders.
