Bitcoin Surges on $981M ETF Inflows Amid LTH Losses

Bitcoin's price surged to its highest level in over a month after investors poured $981.2 million into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to recent data. This influx of capital is seen as a vote of confidence in the cryptocurrency, which has been experiencing a period of volatility.

The inflows follow prior outflows and mirror pre-October 2025 timing, suggesting that investors are once again optimistic about Bitcoin's prospects. However, it's worth noting that long-term holders (LTHs) have been struggling, with over 50% in loss as of June.

Despite this, the Sharpe Ratio for BTCUSD is near -23, a level historically associated with macro bottoms and often leading to multi-month consolidation before larger upside. This extreme risk-adjusted return has traders taking note.
