Bitcoin Surges on Institutional Flows and Equities Rotation
Binance Research has published its September market insights report, highlighting key trends and patterns in the cryptocurrency market.
The report notes that over the past six months, Bitcoin (BTC) has shown repeated sharp weekly surges that align with institutional flows into perpetual futures. This indicates a strong connection between institutional investment and short-term price movements.
One notable trend observed by Binance Research is continued rotation out of equities into crypto assets amid elevated TradFi weekend activity. This suggests that investors are increasingly turning to cryptocurrencies as an alternative store of value or means of generating returns.
The report also examines the technicals, with Bitcoin currently trading at $79,578.54 inside the Bollinger Bands. The upper resistance is set at $80,623.85 and lower support at $78,997.37. Key technical indicators such as the EMA50 and EMA200 are highlighted in the report, providing context for the broader market structure.
Despite a MACD death cross, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) remains neutral at 50.25, suggesting that Bitcoin may experience a healthy pullback to the 50-EMA before any continuation toward upper-band resistance.
