Bitcoin Surges on Whales' Accumulation and Institutional Interest
The Bitcoin price has seen a significant surge in recent months, rising by nearly 16% from its multi-year low of under $58K at the beginning of July. This uptrend has sparked predictions that the bottom is in and the market may be positioning for a strong rally.
Several popular analysts, including Ali Martinez, Michael van de Poppe, and Merlijn The Trader, have argued that the market may have already found its bottom, with some even predicting rallies to new records. Rekt Fencer took it further, projecting a price explosion to $400,000.
The whale activity and institutional interest support this optimistic perspective. According to CryptoQuant, large investors have boosted their total holdings to roughly 3.06 million BTC in 2026, signaling growing conviction among these players and potentially encouraging retail to join as well.
However, not all analysts are convinced that the bear market is behind us. Veteran trader Peter Brandt reviewed BTC's performance over the past several months and said that if he had to place a bet, he would lean toward a decline.
