Bitcoin Surges Past $70K Amid Record Profit-Taking Activity
Bitcoin has broken through the long-tested resistance level of $70,000, trading at $76,522.29 after an 8.9% increase over the previous day.
This comes as profit-taking Unspent Transaction Outputs (UTXOs) hit a record high, according to CryptoQuant.
The current price action suggests that holders are taking profits, but it's not necessarily at the same euphoric market peak seen in October 2025 when Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $76k.
The recovered profit-taking activity is more like risk reduction rather than big profit-taking, as investors rebound from a bearish slump.
The MVRV ratio stands at 1.38, indicating that unrealized profits have increased throughout the market, but the SOPR below 1 suggests caution, urging investors to be cautious of potential selling pressure.
