Bitcoin Surges Past $75K on Regulatory Optimism and Strong Investor Appetite
Bitcoin (BTC) has surged past $75,000, posting gains exceeding 11% within a 24-hour period. This upward momentum is attributed to various catalysts, including the prolonged duration of the recent bear phase and improving U.S. crypto regulation.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong believes that cryptocurrency markets are entering a new bull cycle, citing three key factors: the extended duration of the recent bear market, Senate action on the CLARITY Act, and Bitcoin's traditional strength during year-end trading periods.
Armstrong pointed out that American spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced robust investor appetite, attracting $517 million in net capital on August 19. This figure represents the most substantial daily intake since May, surpassing the approximately $172 million accumulated throughout the entire month of July.
