Bitcoin Surges Past $77K Amid Dollar Debasement Concerns
Bitcoin (BTC) has surged to over $77,000 in recent days, marking a 24% weekly gain. This sudden rise follows Bitcoin's break above the psychologically significant $70,000 level for the first time since June.
The rally coincides with renewed concerns about dollar debasement after the US Treasury doubled its long-term bond buybacks. This move aims to cap rising long-end yields and has led some to believe that the Clarity Act will eventually pass Congress, creating a more favorable regulatory environment for crypto.
According to CoinGecko data, BTC is up roughly 9.5% over the past 24 hours and 24% over the last seven days. The breakout has come with significant momentum, pushing Bitcoin through $75,000 and closing in on the $77,000 area.
