Bitcoin has surged over 25% in August, reaching prices near $79,000. Analysts are now eyeing targets of $95,000 to $100,000, with some even suggesting that these may be too conservative. The Bitcoin price is holding steady after breaking above $80,000 for the first time since May.

Joel Kruger of LMAX Group sees $83,000 as the next significant target for Bitcoin's price, while Ryan Lee of Bitget Research believes a sustained break above $80,000 could open up the $82,000 to $87,000 area. Chris Sullivan of Hyperion Decimus, on the other hand, suggests that Bitcoin would need to hold around $67,000 to $70,000 if a deeper correction develops.

IG market analyst Tony Sycamore is more ambitious in his forecast, predicting that a sustained break above $80,000 could lead to a move towards $95,000 to $100,000. Standard Chartered's Geoff Kendrick has also become increasingly optimistic, saying that there is now a risk that his end-of-year forecast of $100,000 may be too low.
