Bitcoin Surges Past $80,000 as Crypto-Friendly Policies Boost Sentiment
Bitcoin's price surge has reached new heights as it crossed the $80,000 mark for the first time since May. According to data from Coinmarketcap, Bitcoin prices jumped 4.85% to hit a high of $81,235 on Tuesday, August 25.
This significant gain is part of a larger trend, with Bitcoin rising more than 25% in the last week. The surge has been attributed to macroeconomic developments and growing optimism over crypto-friendly policies.
SB Seker, Head of APAC at Binance, explained that 'macro movements, easing bond yields, and a short squeeze did most of the work' behind Bitcoin's rally this week. He emphasized that sustainable adoption is not built on single rallies.
