Bitcoin Surges Past $80,000 Mark for First Time Since May

Bitcoin has broken above the $80,000 mark for the first time since mid-May after a 22% weekly rally.

The cryptocurrency reached an intraday high of $81,200 before pulling back to around $79,050 at the time of writing, with a 24-hour trading volume of over $54 billion.

The surge is attributed to a combination of improved liquidity expectations, favorable political aspects, and technical momentum.

Analysts have noted that such elevated readings often precede short-term consolidation or pullbacks, but the strength of the breakout and the fact that price remains supported above key moving averages suggest underlying momentum remains intact for now.
