Bitcoin has reclaimed its price above $80,000 for the first time since May, driven by exchange-traded fund (ETF) demand, a weaker US dollar, and improving regulatory sentiment.

The cryptocurrency briefly touched $81,000 before consolidating around the $80,000 area. As of August, BTC is up roughly 28% in value, marking its strongest monthly performance since November 2024.

ETF inflows have played a significant role in supporting Bitcoin's price increase. According to SoSoValue, US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $1.92 billion in net inflows last week, their strongest week of 2026 and highest in about 10 months.
